Checan Mix for UTTU & FOO Mag

Checan (pronounced Shukarn) hails from Sheffield. He grew up in a musical family but it was his older sisters speed garage and bassline mixes that really inspired him. The steel city's musical heritage can definitely be heard in his production. It was only his latest release on Unknown To The Unknown that we discovered Checan. HYTZ is an absolute banger.

This mix is more than just rinse out basslines though. Like his production, it shows a musical maturity beyond his 18 years. It combines bass music across the board with techno, grime and dubstep all featuring. Luckily for us, it does end in some bassline bangers too.
